What is sneaker culture?
What does it mean to be cultured and well versed in the abstract art of sneakers?
Does being immersed in sneaker culture mean sipping fair trade roasted coffee, reading Sneaker Freaker, and sporting some snooty Asics Gel-Lyte collab?
It is hard to say for certain, but the fact you are remotely interested in reading this blog entry, or possibly chuckled at the paragraph above, means you just might connect with the following sneaker culture list below.
So without further ado,
9 You look forward to Un-DSing your kicks. Forget about doing it for the Gram. It is not a sneaker flex, but a celebration of great past sneaker times and the anticipation of future sneakerfeels ahead to come.
8 You have (in)advertently spread your passion for sneakers to your child. Your child knows the Nike marketing names of your different OG Jordans. “Daddy, are you going to wear your Shadows today?”
7 While on a road trip to Portland Oregon, you manage to convince your non-sneakerhead friends to pull over at a random stop for the sole purpose of sneaker shopping.
6 You and a friend are attending a movie premier on a Wednesday evening. It is not a red carpet Stranger Things 3 premier, but instead a sneaker premier about the Air Jordan 1, AKA the Air Ship. Shout out to Ward for the invitation and Solesavy for hosting.
5 You promise your next pair is your last pair.
4 You chat it up with employees from sneaker shops you frequently visit. The employees know you by name and make you feel welcome like Norm from Cheers. Norm!
3 You get excited when Sneaker Freaker restocks at your specialty book store.
2 You regularly complain to your five OG sneakerhead friends that there is no more culture left in today’s sneaker market.
1 You realize that idol talk is cheap and unless you start your own avenue for sneaker media, you’ll always be a sheep. Hence the genesis of Solefullylaced.
