Business In The Front, Party In The Back-AJ1 UNC to Chi

From its proud endorsers Joe Exotic, Billy Ray Cyrus, and 1990’s Michael Bolton, the mullet has polarized so many wandering eyes in its wake of conflicted attraction.

A seemingly innocent feathered front, paired with an unknown risqué flowing back, create a bitter sweet combination that either attract or repel its intended viewer.

That same business in the front and party in the back ethos can be applied to the Nike Air Jordan 1 High OG, in the UNC to Chicago colourway.

Business in the front, party in the back.

For some sneakerheads, this mulleted pair of Jordan 1s is like a bad haircut come true.

But for me, what makes this pair work better than an Al and Peggy Buddy marriage is the combination of an OG Gym Red and Powder Blue colour blocking.  This historical acknowledgement and intentional pairing of the Chicago Bulls and UNC Tar Heels lineage make this pair go together like a horse and carriage.

UNC to Chi- Go together like a horse and carriage.

What also makes this pair worth saving from throwing to the tigers is the premium feeling leather quality.  The UNC to Chicago Jordan 1 quality ranks several tiers above some of the latest AJ1 releases, making me wonder how many achy breaky low quality pairs of 1s sneakerheads will continue to purchase.

UNC to Chi 1s- Not to be thrown to the tigers.

So if you dig mulleted pairs of Jordan 1s like a prime 1990’s Michael Bolton flowing mullet, go ahead and do your thing; rock that business in the front and party in the back.
