Social media is an intriguing beast. It provides sneaker fiends the most current information on new releases and tantalizes the sneakerfeels when our favourite retro silhouettes are set to re-re-re-release yet again.
What social media rarely documents is the everyday sneakerhead and his/her rotation of WORN, non-IG perfect condition kicks.
As a banner waving champion for the everyday sneakerhead, the following is a sub-sample of a few of my most recently worn kicks.
Here are a few of my favourite things.
Air Jordan 1 Shadow
This is the definition of a simple, clean, and classic colourway that withstands the trends of time. The AJ 1 Shadow starts adopting its own personality once the toe box starts to crease.
Polar X Nike SB Air Trainer 1
The hidden Zoom based insole, Polar branded forefoot strap, gum sole bottom, and upgraded suede uppers add new character to a time tested silhouette. On my particular pair, the suede finish has a glue stain imperfection on the right lateral side. Other than that, no complaints as this pair of Air Trainer 1s is a couple of lighting bolts away from being a Fragment collab.
True to your Nike size is recommended, unless you have wider feet, then + A half size up.
Yeezy Boost 700 Wave Runner
In the subtle mauve colourway, this is my unofficial official foray into the Yeezy family of kicks. + A half size up is what I’d recommend, unless you have narrow feet, then I’d recommend TTS.
The Yeezy 700 is not as recognizable as the Yeezy 350, and allows me to feel like an antisocial social hypebeast . No need to overtly declare my Yeezy membership on this pair of Yeezy 700s.
These are a few of my favourite things. Just like The Sound Of Music, minus the singing, dancing, and acting.
